I have the KX-TG5632CM cordless Panasonic phone. There is a charge light (red LED) that when you put the handset back on the base turns on indicating that the handset is being charged. But it never goes off. I am afraid it keeps the batteries in charge and will damage the batteries. prescription drugs without a prescription Does yours go off? (Even if you have a similar model, cordless with answering machine, it would help)

The light does not go off. The chargers in Panasonic are designed not to over charge the batteries. There is nothing to worry about. Every cordless I’ve ever owned keeps the light on all the time, even if it’s done charging. My Panasonic keeps the light on, but the screens will say "Charging Complete"
