Yeah it would make a lot of difference. If he found out sooner that Tyler was all part of his imagination all along, then it wouldn’t have gone as far as it did.
Not in the book it isn’t. In the film he’s meant to be anonymous but he referred to himself as Jack a couple of times. God… I’m such a geek.
Cause in the movie this guy meets a person that changes his whole life and that guy is everything he wanted to be in life, But in the end he learns the truth that he’s crazy, and the perfect guy is just a imaginary freind he made up to better himself

in the movie he thought he was fighting aginst other people in a “fight club” but in reality he was crazy and he was beating himself up worser and worser the whole “fight club” was an illusion he was beating himself up and his name is jack
i havent seen it. so that guy calling and finding out that it was Jack & not Tyler would change the whole story? everyone keeps saying how great that one is, please help me understand
funny thing is that jack isnt his real name.
